The colors of Fall

I love the rich tones of Fall, so when I found this blazer at the thrift store last winter I had to get it. Now with the weather changing, this was the perfect time to pull it out. The pallet of colors I have seen for this Fall season are deep greens, navy blues, purples, cream and yellow. I love how these colors pair together and I will definitely be putting them together in other outfits as well.

What colors have you been wearing this Fall?

Back to basics

Everyone needs basics in their closet. Items that you can put on with little thought and run out the door. H&M has been a go to for me for some of their basics. Like this skirt. It is stretchy, can be worn in all seasons and is comfortable to boot. H&M has a their 2 for $10 deals on a variety of basics and this skirt was part of that deal. You can't pass up a $5 skirt! I paired it with my thrifted chambray top and some ankle boots. And speaking of basics, if you don't own a chambray top, go buy one! There are hundreds of ways you can style one, and they go with about everything. Thrift stores usually have them for around $2 or $3 at most.

Top: Thrift-$2.99
Skirt: H&M-$5
Ankle Boots: Forever 21-$15

Outfit total: $23

What type of basics can you not live without?

Take a stop in the men's department

Plaid is essential to have in your fall wardrobe. Be it in a scarf, hat or shirt like I have on. But if you are like me, you might have a hard time finding the right type of plaid in the women's department. So I will let you in on a little secret of mine. I shop in the men's department at thrift stores. Especially for over sized button up shirts. The one I am wearing, is a men's small and it is perfect for fall. Comfy and easy to layer. So next time you are out at a thrift store, browse in the men's area. You might just find something that you can not pass up.

This entire outfit is thrifted minus the shoes.

Outfit details:
Pants: Thrift-$9.99
Plaid button up: Thirft-$1.99
Sweater: Thrift-$2.99
Shoes: Burlington-$14.99

Outfit Total: $30

Have a great weekend!

Over sized scarfs

This past week I have been sleep training my little girl, so I have been camping out in my house in sweat pants trying to keep myself awake due to having no sleep at night. She has a will of iron and is not making it easy on us. I was able to venture out and run a few errand so I threw on my over sized scarf and called it a day. I look tired and ready to pass out but that is mom life for you. I wouldn't take it any other way.

Outfit details:
Dress: thrift- $1.99
Shoes: thrift-$6.99
Scarf: Zara look alike-$15

Outfit total: $23.98

Happy Thursday all!

Nod to Fall

We have been having warmer then usual weather in the PNW this year. Fall feels like it is a long way off in coming but I am SO ready for it to be here! Fall is my favorite season by far, not only because of the colors, and pumpkin everything but also because the fall fashion. Scarves, hats and light weight jackets are right up there on my list of favorite accessories. So despite the fact that it is almost 80 outside, I still had to breakout one of my fall hats this past week and give a nod to fall even if it is not here yet.

In this outfit only the shoes are thrift because I was trying to rotate some clothes I have not worn in ages into my outfit as well. I recently went through my closet determined that I will be either using all my clothes on a consistent basis or getting rid of them. Do you ever feel like your closet just gets piled higher and higher with stuff and then you eventually forget what is even in there?

Outfit details:
Top: Forever 21-old-$3.50
Pants: Rock revival-old-$150 (YIKES! Gift from my hubby-not a price I would pay!)
Shoes: Thrift
Hat: Old Navy-last year $13

What are your favorite fall pieces?

New deals

Finding a new pair of shoes while thrifting is one of my favorite things. It is time that I come out of the closet and let the truth me known. I have an unhealthy obsession with shoes. Heels, flats, wedges, you name it! My little obsession has gotten to the point, where my hubby has jokingly told me I have to give away a pair of shoes for everyone that I buy. So, needless to say, when I brought home another pair of shoes after thrifting, he could only shake his head.

This past weekend, my mother in-law was in town visiting and we hit up some of the holiday sales. Old Navy rocked it guys! They had the BEST clearance and lots of other screaming deals. My mother in-law surprised me with this top from the clearance rack and that is not even the best part. It was only $2.99! And it is still on clearance! Old Navy has a ton and I mean a TON of deals right now for $10~$5 & $3 and under. If you are in need of a few more pieces for fall, now is the time to get them.

I decided to pair my new top with my new shoes for night out with some friends. I love how the top fits. It is very flattering to areas that I would rather disguise after having a baby and it is so comfortable.

Outfit details:
Top: Old Navy-$2.99
Pants: Thrift-$3.99
Sweater: Thrift-$1.99
Shoes: Thrift-$9.00

Outfit total: $ 17.97

Check out some of Old Navy's deals here

Hope you all had a great holiday weekend.

Rose tulle

I love tulle skirts. They mark off all the 3 "f" boxes for me. Fun, flirty and feminine. I have a short one but have seen people with long ones that I have loved. I spotted this skirt while thrifting a little while ago and was in love I tell you! And it was only $6! I have seen them retail anywhere from $30 to over a $100. Talk about getting it for a steal.

Outfit details
Tulle skirt: thrift-$6
Top: Forever 21-$4-on sale
Shoes: thrift

What do you think of tulle skirts? Love? Hate?

Hope you have a fab Friday!

Day to day

It has been so long since I have posted anything on my blog that I feel like I am starting all over again. In a sense I am doing just that. Since I last posted, my life has been a hectic, and chaotic blur. Between working, attending a wedding each weekend all summer (not joking), and helping with my sister in-laws wedding, my hubby and I moved across the our state for a job opportunity. So I had to take a little hiatus from blogging but I am getting back at it.

I thrifted as much as I could fit in during the summer and I found some great pieces that I will post soon. Today I am sharing with you a typical day to day outfit I wear when I run errands with my little one. I try to keep it simple and easy because I never know when I might get spit up or baby food on me.
The jean jacket and shirt are both thrift finds. The pants were given to me by my sister and the shoes are older not thrifted.

Outfit details:
Jean Jacket: thrift-$5
Top: thrift-$1
Pants: given to me
Shoes: Burlington: $6

Total cost to me: $12

Thank you to everyone who has still been following me even though I have been MIA. I am excited to get back at it!
