Rainboots and Stripes

These photos make me feel like I am HUGE. Can anyone say big mama status?? Yep. That's me right now! But regardless of how I feel I look, I still am happy with how these photos turned out. I know one day I am going to look back at these and wish for this time back. 11 days and counting until my due date but hopefully this little munchkin will come sooner then that! I know I have said it before but I will say it again, I am so anxious to meet her.

This dress is not a thrift find but it is seriously comfy and has been a staple throughout my pregnancy. Both the dress and hat are from Target. Boots are Kamik and taken from my sisters closet. I don't know about you, but I love that I have sisters that I can borrow stuff from when I am in need. I should seriously start a "raiding my sisters closet" post monthly because I do that all the time!

Thrifty maternity shoot

Over the next few days I will be bombarding you with a ton of maternity photos that I recently had done by my amazing sister in law. I love how they all turned out so I will have to share as many as possible.
I can't believe I am 2 weeks away from my due date!! Ahhh! It is amazing how fast time flies by your entire pregnancy then when you have under three weeks left, the time draaaaags. Seriously I feel like I am counting the seconds before my sweet girl makes her grand appearance into the world.

I tried to stick with mostly thrifted pieces of clothing for the maternity shoot. My button up shirt and dress were both purchased from thrift stores and are pre-pregnancy items. The boots are my sisters. I raided her closet because the forecast called for lots of rain that day. Thankfully it held off for a little while so we could get some good shots!

Happy Monday all!

Thank the Lord in heaven it is Friday!! It has been one of those days, let me tell you. Everything that could go wrong in a day at work went wrong, causing me to be almost late to my doctors appointments and then finding out I am having to pull an almost all nighter for another work situation that happened. Ahhh. Day. Be. Over. Please.
Alright. Vent is over now.
On a happier note, I got to see my little angel today on my last ultrasound appointment before she comes! She is so beautiful and I swear looks just like my hubby. Everything seems to be getting way more real with the thought that I am almost a week away from being full term! Now the time is dragging by.
I am happy to say that I can fit into some of my pre-pregnancy clothes still. Well barely fit that is. This dress has been one of my best thrift store finds so I was happy to be able to fit it over my belly for a relaxed "Friday" work look.

Thank you all for letting me spew my crazy day on you! Sometimes venting helps get it out and over with. I hope you all had a better Friday then mine and have a fabulous weekend!

Being thrifty

There is a common misconception of what it means to thrift. Thrifting to me goes beyond shopping at
the everyday "thrift" store. In fact I know people who can not stand the thought of ever going into a thrift store let alone wear clothes from thrift stores. And that's ok. There are many different ways you can be thrifty when shopping for clothes that make you feel fabulous. If I am not buying clothes at a thrift or a second hand store I try to stick to sales as much as possible.
I was at H&M the other day and they were having a huge sale. Since I am starting to not fit into anything anymore with my belly growing constantly bigger by the day I decided to take a peak. I found this amazing dress for a whopping $2.50!! And that is how you shop thrifty without shopping at a thrift store. Stick to sales, shop stores like Target, H&M and Old Navy to get cute clothes without the crazy price tags. Being thrifty to me means finding great deals no matter if your in a thrift store or not.
