Throw back Thursday

I have a little throw back Thursday outfit for you today. I wore this on fathers day but never got around to posting it. It was a cold and windy day but my crazy family decided to have a picnic outside. I opted for a light weight jacket and skinny's. My hair in these pics is a little crazy, partly due to the wind but also partly because I have natural curl to my hair. Sometimes I would rather not fight with my hair and just pin it back! Anyone else have problems like that or is it just me?

I had to throw a picture in of my dad. Love him so much!!

Outfit details:
Jacket: H&M
Top: Thrift
Skinny's: Kohl's
Pumps: Thrift

Thursday's Thrifting Tip:
When thrift store shopping, make sure you check all sections of the store if you can. Since inventory is always changing you never know what treasures you might find if you go past the clothing aisles!

Hope you all had a happy Thursday!

Simple is better

Simple is just better sometimes. I love to dress up as much as the next person but there are days where I am not honestly in the mood to throw on more then a simple dress, a pair of heels and call it good. This dress I found at Goodwill last year is the perfect piece for me to do just that. It is simple enough to dress up but easy to dress down for a casual day. Those are my favorite type of pieces to buy because you can always grab them on days you can not find anything to wear in your closet and you know you will still look put together.

I wore this outfit to work but you could add a pair of sandals or converse to dress it down during the day. Or for an evening look just throw on a blazer, grab a clutch and call it good.

Outfit Details:
Dress: Thrift-$3.00-Target Merona Brand
Shoes: Thrift-$6.00

Thursday's Thrifting Tip:
Always thrift all your basic wardrobe staples. Simple tees, dresses, sweaters and pants you can always find in thrift stores at almost any given time. So this fall try betting your basics at your local thrift/second hand store and see how much you can save!

P.S.....My Seattle thrift store shopping was a bust :( Mostly because I was on a tight schedule and so I was only able to go to one store. But I did get to do a little exploring with the hubby early one morning and had fun touring a ship in the Seattle harbor! Confession time......I am a major history buff so touring this ship made me feel like a kid in a candy shop!

Happy Thursday!
